Ocean's noise can block communication between whales

Scientists have discovered that ocean's noise can block the process of communication between whales. Does it make any difficulties to those animals? Let's check it.

Scientists discovered the fact during blue whales observation off the eastern Canadian coast. Whales make short calls hearing underwater noise, rather than long "songs". The researchers check it using gear emit seismic surveys. Wales are using the calls through hundred kilometers for communication or during reproduction period.

Scientists have hard evidence that some of the bangs blocks calls. It's surely negative for animals and humanity's use of the oceans has a great part in emerging background noise. Especially endangered are wales in Pacific Ocean, where the level of underwater noise from ships was doubled recently.
